Sunday marks the firstSmackDown Live exclusive PPV since the WWE Draft and brand extension earlier this summer. Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan have curated quite a cardforWWE Backlash 2016, including the crowning of the first-ever SmackDown Women's Champion and the first-ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

A favorite pastime among the WWE Universe is to make predictionsabout upcoming events. With four huge title matches and the first-ever Women's Six-Pack Challenge Match, there's a lot to look forward to atWWE Backlash 2016. What follows is a look at the six confirmed matches forBacklash and picks for the likely victor of each contest.

Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles

Like new WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, AJ Styles achieved victory over John Cenaearly in his WWE tenure. Unlike the Prizefighter, however, AJ Styles hasn't had more than a year to build on that success. While The Phenomenal One is certainly going to be a key player onSmackDown Live and the WWE in general for years to come, WWE World Heavyweight ChampionDean Ambrose will likely retain his title in the main event.

Women's Six-Pack Challenge

The female competitors on WWE's blue brand have done a great job of proving that they shouldn't be overlooked forMonday Night Raw's women's division, which includes fan favorites Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Paige, along with the WWE Women's Champion Charlotte.

Carmella has done a great job of standing out among the crowd by repeatedly attacking former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella, while Becky Lynch's never-say-die attitude has won the Irish Lass-Kicker a great deal of support. As Naomi and Natalya continue to reinvent themselves to remain relevant, look for Alexa Bliss to get a surprise win and be the face of a new era of women's Wrestling onSmackDown Live as the first-everSmackDown Women's Champion.

The Usos vs. The Hype Bros

After years of playing the tired role of WWE's culturally-diverse, good-guy tag team, The Usos finallyturned heel on the final episode ofWWE SmackDown Live before Sunday'sBacklash. After losing in embarrassingly quick fashion, Jimmy and Jey did a number on Chad Gable, forcing American Alpha to withdraw from the tournament.

With the WWE Universe supporting Heath Slater's attempt at earning a contract, look for the Samoan duo to get past Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley, advancing to the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match.

The Usos vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno

As the sentimental favorite, Heath Slater and Rhyno are likely to leave WWE Backlash as the first-ever SmackDown Tag Team Champions.American Alpha are definitely primed to be champions in the future, so the title reign could be very short. Before Chad Gable is "fully recovered" from his kayfabe injury, The Usos are likely to take the belts from Slater and Rhyno in a rather unfair way, leading the way for Gable and Jason Jordan to make a triumphant return.

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt

While this is the only match atBacklash 2016 that isn't directed related to one of the blue brand's titles, it would only make sense that the winner of this match would have to be in the conversation regarding a No. 1 contender for theWWE World Heavyweight Championship. While Bray Wyatt was completely absent from last month'sWWE SummerSlam, Randy Ortonis coming off of a loss to Brock Lesnar. The Viper is likely to get the win here before moving on to challenge for the world title.

The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

While Dolph Ziggler is almost certain to give an amazing performance in this bout for The Miz'sWWE Intercontinental Championship, there's no reason to think he'll take the belt from the current champ.
