  • The New Day vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (Raw Tag Team Championship)

  • Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins (WWE Universal Championship)

Alicia Fox vs. Nia Jax

There really isn’t much going on in the Alicia Fox vs. Nia Jax. Fox has already been with the company for a long time. The most logical booking decision is to have Jax win.

Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn

As a veteran of the industry, Chris Jericho is likely to put over Sami Zayn. It benefits Zayn more than Jericho. They can have a good match, there’s no doubt about that. It’s just more important that Zayn picks up the victory.

Brian Kendrick vs. TJ Perkins

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship match has to be exciting. The veteran Brian Kendrick is the right opponent for TJ Perkins. Despite the fact that this isn’t the most captivating feud on the card, we can expect both competitors to pull off a great match. For the sake of Cruiserweight Championship’s growth as a championship worth caring about, it’s best that the younger TJ Perkins win the match.

Cesaro vs. Sheamus

This match sticks out like a sore thumb (since it’s the only non-title match on the card).

Apparently, the winner of this match will receive a shot a championship. It has yet to be confirmed what championship will be the chosen one; as one of these men has to win (the series is tied at 3-3). Since Sheamus has already worn championship gold on many occasions, it will be best if Cesaro wins.

There aren’t any reasons for Sheamus to get the win and title shot anytime soon.

The Tag Team Championship match seems like it can be a decent match. It’s about time that the “New Day” drops the titles to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. At this point, the New Day has held the championship for over a year.

After a title reign that has lasted over a year, the New Day has worn out their run with the championship. Since that is the case, a new tag team reign will freshen up the tag team division and avoid becoming another repetitive tag team.

Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

The current WWE Raw Women’s Champion (Charlotte) will face former champion Sasha Banks and rookie Bayley, in a Triple Threat match. Charlotte is still fresh out of Summerslam after defeating Banks to win the championship. As a rookie, Bayley is the dark horse in this match, yet it’s still a possibility that she’ll win the championship. It’ll probably turn out that way in order for her to look strong shortly after her debut.

Rusev vs. Roman Reigns

As the current WWE United States Champion; Rusev has gotten a pretty good run with the championship. It might come to a sudden end, as Roman Reigns is not really the type of guy to lose unless God turns his back on him. Since the company wants Reigns to always look strong as the “future” face of WWE (despite many failed attempts), the United States Championship will end up around his waist. Many fans will not be happy if it is Reigns that walks out as champion.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins

The main feud heading into the event is between Kevin Owns and Seth Rollins. A week after Finn Bálor vacated the WWE Universal Championship; Kevin Owens won the championship in a fatal four-way elimination match (also involving Big Cass, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins).

During the fatal four-way match, Triple H betrayed his protégé and in the process allowed Kevin Owens to win the championship. Given Triple H’s history of betrayal, he will most likely play a huge role in the match to assist Owens. That is more than enough reasons to predict that Owens will walk out of Clash of Champions as the WWE Universal Championship. This can help extend the Rollins vs. Owens feud as far as the Royal Rumble.
