The reigning ICC World T20 Champions will try to salvage their reputation by locking horns again and winning the last game today September 27, 2016, at Abu Dhabi. The present West Indies team does not feature many star players who were a part of the World T20 match winning team played in March – April in India.

Absent are stalwarts and big hitting players like Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, and Darren Sammy and what was left behind was a team which was a shadow of the earlier team.

Pakistan crushed the Caribbean team by nine wickets in the opening match and won the next by 16 runs. Paki spinners demolished the Calypso brigade in both the matches in Dubai.

The proceedings were almost alike on both the days. The power play on the first day saw the Caribbean’s struggle five down.

The second day was no different, and they were still fighting three down by the sixth over.

On the other hand, the Pakistanis were 38 for 1 and 39 for one on both days.

Pitch and weather conditions:

The Windies were more adaptable to quicker wickets and smaller grounds. However, the pitch in Dubai was much slower, spin friendly and the boundary longer. The WI could not fathom the conditions.

It will be interesting to see what kind of pitch has been prepared at the venue. The Caribbean players who are used to cooler conditions will find it a bit difficult to adjust to the searing 41-degree desert heat quickly.

The batting responsibility will fall mainly on Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik with the duo of Babar Azam and Khalid Latif providing ample support.
