Hubbali has been witnessing some high voltage cricketing actions for the past two days, as the much-anticipated seventh edition of the Karnataka Premier League began two days back. Yesterday, two matches were played, and interestingly, both these games offered a decent run feast for the viewers.

Tuesday's KPL t20 games:

Namma Shivamogga will play Belagavi Panthers at 1:30 p.m. while the hosts Hubli Tigers playBellary Tuskers at 5:30 p.m.

Since rain is forecast today, the second contest may be affected, but so far none in all the encounters no overs have been lost due to bad weather.

Mysuru Warriors VS Rockstars

When A Arjun Hoysala led Mysuru Warriors from the front by scoring 89 runs, the team easily made a mammoth score of 219 runs. He was given adequate support by R R Bhatkal (46 off 37 balls) and K Gawtham (33 off 14). In the tail end, A A Joshi put up an impeccable show by scoring 27 runs off just 9 balls, with a strike rate of 300.

Rockstars who chased a huge score failed pathetically in their attempt, and the only saving grace in their performance was the entertaining 51 off 23 by Rajeev. For Mysuru, A Suchith picked up three wickets by conceding just 27 runs.

Bellary Tuskers VS Namma Sivamogga

After facing an unexpected loss from Hubli Tigers in the first match, Namma Shivamogga tasted success in their second match, as they defeated Bellary Tuskers by four wickets, with just two balls remaining. It was S Gopal who crafted the win for Shivamoga. The young man scored 42 runs off 20 balls and it helped his team to chase 161 runs within 16 overs under VJD method.

Yesterday's matches

The first match of September 19, 2016, was played between Hubli Tigers and Bijapur Bulls at 01.30 PM IST. The Hubli team has won their first match, and they tried to carry forward the momentum in the second game as well, but lost by 7 wickets.

The second game was played at 05.30 PM, and the Mangalore United beat Rockstars by 53 runs.
