Conor McGregor could earn his biggest payday yet in boxing. McGregor is a wanted man in the boxing world as a trio of boxing superstars such as Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez have recently called out the brash 28 year old from Dublin to a fight under traditional boxing rules of course. 8 division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has also expressed interest in fighting McGregor when asked by the boxing press.

Past McGregor Fights.

McGregor is coming off anexciting victory over Nate Diaz in a rematch that produced record setting numbers in PPV buys and the biggest fight purse in the history of the UFC with a guaranteed payout of $3 million to McGregor with no win bonus. McGregor is averaging PPV numbers that no current active boxer is doing and he could earn a lot more money if he considered fighting one the trio of boxing superstars because of how different the business model of boxing is compared to the UFC.

Still, many in the boxing industry doubt McGregor will enter the boxing realm because many predict he would get humiliated by fighting the likes of Mayweather, Canelo, and Pacquaio in his first professional boxing match.

Quotes.

"It would take at least 3 years to get him (McGregor) ready for a fight against Mayweather," said legendary trainer Freddie in an interview with fighthubtv.

McGregor is still very interested in getting into boxing and is still baiting Floyd Mayweather on a possible showdown in the near future.

McGregor sees boxing as a sport filled with stars cherry-picking their opponents or opt to take easier fights.

"If you look at the history of the fight game, especially in this new era, it's full of stars cherry-picking their opponents. When they hold a position of power, when they get a name, all of sudden they pick weaker opponents. They look down their division. Nobody looks up a division. Nobody looks at true challenges," McGregor told Lance Pugmire of The Los Angeles Times.

"Then, once in a blue moon, when that true challenge can't be denied, like the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquaio situation, it happens. But when you look at this Canelo Alvarez situation, it's an era of cherry-picking."
