With Opening Ceremonies for the 2016 Rio Olympic Gamesless than two days away, the talented swimmers of Team USA --including newly appointed flag bearer Michael Phelps and birthday boy Ryan Lochte-- are primed and ready to go for gold in the pool. A number of the Olympians have taken to social media in recent days to share the Rio adventure with fans, with many using the #RoadToRio tag. Here's a look atwhat some of them are seeing and saying about both their South American Olympic experience and the time spent with fellow members of Team USA.

Ryan Lochte turns 32

Loche, who celebrated his 32nd birthday on Aug.

3 with a tweet that read "Age is just a number!", proved that the stiff international competition he's about to face isn't spoiling his Rio Games experience. The gold medalist posted an underwater Instagram shot of himself with Olympic teammates Elizabeth Beisel and Cammile Adams thatincluded the caption "Who said you can't have fun doing what you love!"

Beisel tweeteda similar image to pay homage to Lochte's birthday. The photofeatured the grinning duo submerged in the pool along with a sweet dedication that read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIL RY."

Team USA's Olympic swimmers onRio, competition

Nathan Adrian, who memorably defeated Australian James Magnussen for 100meter freestyle gold at the 2012 Olympics in London, shared several bits and pieces from his own #RoadToRio experience via Twitter.

Another featured Adrian along with teammates Lochte and Missy Franklin after the three took part in an Aug. 3 press conference.

Six-time Olympic swimming medalist Allison Schmitt took part inthe sharing action as well when she posted a photo of the women's team, of which she is a captain, back on July 20.

Also sharing a photo of herself alongside some of her teammates was Kelsi Worrell, the 2015 Pan American Games 100 meter butterfly gold medalist. The Aug. 1 post included a caption that read "...it's been humbling and a privilege training with these girls...

can't believe it's almost race time!"

Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, Allison Schmitt and the rest of the US Olympic swimming team will begin their portion of the 2016 Rio Olympicson Aug. 6.
