Kim Kardashian West formally cemented her status as a fan of reigning world artistic gymnastics champion and Rio Olympics gold medal hopeful Simone Biles on Aug. 6 with a video message posted to Twitter.

The nine-second clip uploaded by NBCOlympics featured the 35-year old mom wishing the 19-year old Biles "the best of luck" in Rio. She also assured the gymnast that "we're all rooting for you back at home."

A dialog between the two stars began when Biles, who will begin her quest for Rio Olympic gold on Aug.

7 during the women's gymnastics qualifications, replied to Kardashian West's message by tweeting "Thank You So Much!" When she added that she's "obsessed" with North, the reality star's three-year old daughter with husband Kanye West, Kardashian West replied that she'd just started taking gymnastics and offered to have the toddler show Biles "some moves."

Kim Kardashian West isn't the only celebrity who has tweeted praise for Simone Biles in the days leading up to the Rio Olympics.

Also expressing support was recording artist and model Janelle Monae, who tweeted a link to an article about the gymnast and added the caption "Two words: Simone. Biles."

Although the pressure is no doubt on for Biles and the other four members of the heavily favored US Women's Olympic gymnastics team --Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, and Madison Kocian-- the 19-year old is taking the Rio experience in stride, if a few recent fun photos posted to her Twitter account are any indication of what's going on.

One image features the five gymnasts posing together while wearing identical "squad goals" shirts. 

That image drew a comment from another Olympian, two-time figure skating medalist Michelle Kwan, who called all five women "incredible role models."

Another photo shows the 4-foot-8 Biles standing back to back with volleyball player David Lee, who stands a full two feet taller at 6-foot-8.

Simone Biles and the rest of the 2016 US Women's Olympic gymnastics team will formally begin their quest for the gold medal on Aug. 7. The men's squad will open their segment of the Rio Games on Aug. 6.
