With the third pick in the 2016 NFL draft, the San Diego Chargers selected defensive end Joey Bosa, who was expected to improve one of the worst defenses in the NFL this year. Unfortunately, Bosa doesn't seem particularly interested in doing that without a proper contract. And the Chargers have lost all patience for their young rookie. They posted the following statement on social media to prove just how unreasonable Bosa has been.

That statement will likely trigger a PR war between Bosa and the Chargers until the two can finally agree to a deal.

And the Chargers aren't the only organizationfrustrated with Bosa. The Chargers fanbasealso flocked to social media to express their frustration.

Most of the Tweets center around the fact that Bosa has not played a snap in the NFL. There is more than one fan out there asking Bosa to work and earn it before he receives a lucrative contract.

His agent better start figuring out how to turn this PR nightmare into a positive development.

But it's already too late to change the perception that Bosa is a whiny loser who won't play in the NFL until he gets what he wants.

Most fans are taking the Chargers side in this battle for a good reason.

Bosa rejected an offer that offered him more money than every other pick aside from the first overall pick. That has led to some seriously disparaging remarks from plenty of Chargers fans.

At this point, it's kind of hard to disagree with the Twitter warriors who have been angered by Joey Bosa's actions.

The Chargers will now be without Bosa for at least a part of the 2016 NFL season.

Joey Bosa will miss part of season

At this point, Bosa has missed far too much time to play all sixteen games of the NFL season.

That's a huge blow to a Chargers team that was relying on Bosa to contribute to the pass rush. And the Chargers apparently made their best offer to sign him, and he denied it. At this point, fans should start to wonder about the other side of the story.

Joey Bosa

Bosa's qualms weren't about the total money that he would have received. He simply wants either his deferred bonus immediately or the removal of offset language in his contract.

And if you read the renewed offer given by the Chargers, you would realize that Bosa has been given neither of those things. Even in their "best offer," the Chargers failed to give Bosa what he was asking for.

If Bosa is smart, he will emphasize this to other teams looking to make a trade with the Chargers for him. Unfortunately, this entire stunt has contributed to a negative image of Bosa that may not be totally accurate. It's still pretty funny to watch the war that has already erupted between the Chargers organization and Bosa over some silly contract language though.
