On last night's episode ofConan on TBS, O'Brien had UFC fighter Nate Diaz as one of his guests. Conan regularly has both UFC and WWE superstars on his program, especially those that are extremely charismatic like Diaz and Conor McGregor. Currently ranked No. 4 in the official UFC lightweight rankings, Diaz opened up to Conan O'Brien about several things.

Taking a break from covering the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Conan gets Diaz to talk about his Twitter beef with Justin Bieber, the surprisingly pessimistic things that Diaz thinks before he steps into the Octagon, and how he feels about facing UFC Featherweight Champion McGregor again.

Originally set forUFC 200 where Brock Lesnar made his return to UFC to face Mark Hunt, the highly-anticipated Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz rematch has been rescheduled forUFC 202 on August 20 in Las Vegas.

Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor: UFC 202

Having risen to prominence after winning The Ultimate Fighter 5 in 2007, Diaz has been climbing the UFC ranks ever since. AtUFC 196earlier this year, Diaz stepped inwhen Conon McGregor's scheduled opponent (Rafael dos Anjos) had to drop out just eleven days before the fight. Although McGregor already held the UFC Featherweight Championship, the match was contested at welterweight (since Diaz wouldn't have time to cut weight). Diaz got the upset win, and a rematch was initially scheduled forUFC 200.

However, McGregor refused to participate in the required promotion of the event, so the fight was bumped toUFC 202.

Having recently been a guest on Conan's show himself, McGregor left a video message for Diaz.

After mocking him for wearing the same black t-shirt all the time (Diaz was, in fact, wearing it onConan as well), he also got in a jab about Nate having a "skinny, tall frame." Asked to respond to McGregor's comments that Nate simply "won the lottery" atUFC 196 with an upset victory, Diaz had some words of his own aboutUFC 196 and the upcoming rematch."The truth came out.

And the truth will be August 20th, when it goes down again."

Justin Bieber vs. Nate Diaz?

After the conclusion of the first Diaz/McGregor fight, Justin Bieber took tosocial media to let it be known that he still feels as though Conor is the better fighter of the two. As Diaz told O'Brien, someone created a picture of him slapping Bieber. Diaz thought the image was funny so he shared the visual on his own social media. Weeks later, the fighter ended up at the same club as Justin in Los Angeles. Bieber approached Diaz to explain that "everything was cool" and the two officially "squashed the beef" and things "are cool" now.

Nate Diaz and pre-fight pessimism

Conan also asked Diaz about rumors O'Brien had heard that Nate was often nervous just before his big MMA fights.

Diaz says that he understands the nature of his sport and knows he could lose. "I'm a realist, man. There's a probably that you're gonna get taken out,"he told the talk show host. "And when it doesn't happen and you come out with a win, it's pretty exciting."

Diaz vs. McGregor 2 is set for Saturday, August 20 atUFC 202, exclusively on pay-per-view.
