UFC in the News

The UFC is one of the largest sports leagues in the world today. Although it is still growing at a rapid pace, it recently was sold for over $4 billion to another company. This is a great thing for fans and fighters. However, many fighters have said that they think they deserve a higher payout for their work. It is true that the championship fighters get paid large sums of money. A lot of the other fighters in the UFC have worked their whole lives to get to that point.

The time to fight in the UFC is typically short, so it is difficult to make a living for just a couple of years and then leave. Over time, the UFC must adapt to keep the interests of fighters in mind.

Robbie Lawler

Robbie Lawler is one of the best fighters in the world today. Not only does he compete at a high level, but he is also a great person outside of the octagon. UFC faces an image problem by many, and fighters like Jon Jones do not help.

Lawler recently came out and said that fighters deserve higher pay now that the UFC is doing better financially. In fact, the UFC would not be what it is today without the support of its fighters. He even said that there have been whispers of unionization in the future by some fighters if this does not happen. This has happened in other sports, even those like college football. However, it takes the UFC understanding to make any difference in future pay. Profits have never been higher for the company, but the fighters are still making wages comparable to five or ten years ago.

Next Steps

The UFC will continue to grow as it develops its stars and finances. With more money, it can now promote itself to more fans throughout the world. The great thing going for the UFC is that it is attractive to sports fans in all countries. This makes its total reach much wider than a traditional sport. For example, millions of people in Brazil love to watch the UFC, but these same fans would never watch the NFL.

If the company can continue to invest in itself, it has a bright future ahead of it. For people like Robbie Lawler, he is just hoping to get a bigger piece of the overall pie. If he continues to progress in his career, he will be fine financially. However, he wants the fighters who come behind him to also do well.
