Patriots Early Favorites to Win

The Super Bowlis the biggest American sporting event of the year. Every year, millions of people take off to watch the big game. For the 2017 Super Bowl, the betting lines have been released. Although it is still early, the Patriots are the early favorites with a 7 in 1 chance of winning. Unlike last year, there are no clear cut favorites to win it all. The Super Bowl last year was a great one if you like defense or Denver. Von Miller and the Broncos defensive line was able to wreck havoc on the Panthers offense. Over time, this is a great example that defense really does win championships.

The Patriots have been the most consistent team in the NFL over the past 15 years. Tom Brady is a great quarterback who will be in the Hall of Fame on the first round of ballots. However, the Patriots have not won a lot of Super Bowls in the last ten years. Although they did defeat the Seahawks two years ago, fans are now starting to wonder aloud if the best is over for Tom Brady. With the most consistent quarterback in the game, the Patriots are a great choice to win it all.

The Carolina Panthers have a great team coming back this year. Although cornerback Josh Norman has gone on to greener pastures, and by greener, I mean with more cash, the Panthers still have a young team that will be dominantfor many years.

Their defense is the strength of the team, but the offense can still put up a lot of points. Fans have to be disappointed after losing the way they did last year. However, in the NFL, there is always another chance for redemption. Over time, the Panthers must figure out a way to negotiate salaries in a way that is going to add value to their team over time.

The Denver Broncos lost a ton of talent off of their team from last year. Although they will still be a good team this year, there is a good chance they will have to battle just to reach the playoffs. They are a big part of the new trend in the NFL where great players leave their team for bigger contracts.

Von Miller is currently holding out for a major deal, and with some of the other salaries in the league it is likely.
