NFL Offseason.

The offseason of the NFL is always an interesting time. Teams are trying to sign their best players to long term deals, and players want to squeeze all of the money possible out of their teams. This results in an interesting dynamic between teams and players. Eric Berry is one of the biggest stars of the NFL, and this offseason was supposed to be the time that Berry and the Chiefs signed a long term deal. However, it looks like the franchise tag will be used on Eric Berry for the 2016 season. This means that it is a good possibility that he will be a free agent for the 2017 season.

The good news for the Chiefs is that they have at least one more good year out of him. They are on the cusp of a playoff run, and it is important that they strike while the iron is hot. Over time, they are a great example of how to build up a team. A lot of people love their style of play, and the Chiefs know how to get the most out of their players. Many people wanted to sign Eric Berry because he has become a fan favorite. After becoming a top 5 draft pick out of Tennessee in the 2010 draft, Chiefs fans fell in love with his passion for the game.

Free Agent.

There is a really good chance that Eric Berry will become a free agent after this season. The question is where will he land? He is an immediate impact player that can make a huge difference on any team.

He is going to get a huge contract, so anyone who signs him will have to have the cap room to make it work. Hint: it will not be the Denver Broncos after they signed Von Miller to a huge deal with a lot of guaranteed money. Many Tennessee Titans fans are hoping he returns to Volunteer country to play for the Titans.

This may be nothing more than a pipe dream, but he would help out a struggling Titans defense.

2016 Season.

For the 2016 season, Eric Berry is focused on adding value to his team. Over time, he is one of those players that fans learn to love. There are a lot of people who are wanting to see him succeed for a variety of reasons.

Not only did he beat cancer, but he has been a great role model for everyone in the Kansas City area. Fansare hoping that he stays with the team longer, but 2016 may be the last year he is a Kansas City Chief.
