Roy Hodgson, the England national team manager has named his England squad for this summer’s European Championshipin France earlier today and, as ever, there is a mixture of delight and disappointment for the players in contention for being in one of the most fashionable football competitions in world football. The big surprises

Probably the big surprise to Roy Hodgson's selection is theinclusion of Manchester united teenager Marcus Rashford who has a blistering start for Red Devils.

He already scored against big sides like Arsenal, Manchester City and West Ham United. Another big surpriseistheselection of Andros Townsend. He has been a bench warmer in Tottenham Hotspur but when he joined Newcastle United in the January transfer window, showed his talent and ability: Not to mention his team relegated.

The stars who missed out Euro 2016

Theo Walcott, Andy Carroll, Michael Carrick and Phil Jagielka , meanwhile, are the biggest names to be omitted fromthe Three Lions squad. Leighton Baines, Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Lennon, Mark Noble , Ryan Shawcross, Jermain Defoe and Calum Chambers are also not included in England Squad.

England will face Russia, Wales, and Slovakia in Group B of Euro 2016.
