Coco Vandeweghe (24 years old) has qualified by winning a game in the first round with the British player Naomi Broady (79th in WTA rankings) by a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. It will be the first direct confrontation between the Romanian player and the American player. Coco Vandeweghe is a specialist in fast surfaces and she has played only three matches this year.

Third round.
