Friday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Eastern Conference Finals by beating the Toronto Raptors. The two teams met in Toronto at Air Canada Centre for game six of the series. The game ended with a score of 113 for the Cavs and 87 for the Raptors, with the Cavs winning the series 4-2.

On to the Finals

Cleveland now advances to the NBA Finals. This is the sixth straight season that LeBron Jamesadvanced to the finals, making him the first player in 50 years to do so.The Cavaliers have neverwon an NBA Championship, as the city is in what many call, a sports drought.

The Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder met Saturday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City for game six of the Western Conference Finals.

The Thunder went into the game leading the series 3-2, but Golden State won the game 108-101 to even out the series. The two teams will be meet at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA for game seven on Monday, May 30 at 9 p.m. ET.

A little bit of history

The last time the Thunder were in the NBA Finals was in 2012. They were up against the Miami Heat and won the first game of the series. After that, the Heat won the next four games and became the 2012 NBA Champs. The Thunder have not yet won an NBA Championship.The Thunder is coached by Billy Donovan, who signed with the team on April 30, 2015. He replaced Scott Brooks, who coached the Thunder for seven seasons.

Like the Thunder, the Cleveland Cavs are also working with a new coach.In January of this year, Tyronn Lue took over the head coaching position from David Blatt, who was fired mid-season.

Golden State Warriors

Golden State has been in the NBA Finals seven times and they have won four championships, with the most recent in 2015 when they defeated the Cavs.Many fans are hoping to see the two teams match up again this season in the NBA Finals. Prior to 2015, the Warriors won it all in 1947, 1956 and 1975.
