Some have argued that NXT TakeOver: Dallaswas not only the best NXT special to date, it was also the Wrestling highlight of theWrestleMania 32 weekend. For many who weren't impressed with the results of WM32, the debuts of several NXT stars on Monday Night RAWwas enough to change their attitude about the weekend. When WWE used their time in Dallas to record another episode ofWWE NXT for the WWE Network, they didn't hold back.

Here areall the spoilers and results for the episode ofWWE NXT that first aired on the WWE Network on April 14, 2016.

Austin Aries defeated Angelo Dawkins

The opening match of the night saw Austin Aries in just his second match with NXT. While Angelo Dawkins appears to be far from a finished product, the match he put on with A-Double was longer than expected and showcased both men's talents.

Alexa Bliss defeated Tessa Blanchard

While the WWE Divas are turning a new chapter with the WWE Women's Championship, the NXT women are now in an era where Bayley will soon be transitioned and Asuka is the Queen of the Hill.

A new crop of women are trying to prove themselves at Full Sail University, including Tessa Blanchard (daughter of Tully) and Liv Morgan, both of whom failed to get a win this week.

Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano defeated The Vaudevillains

As The Vaudevillains have already been moved to the main roster, a match against two indy darlings in front of the rabid WrestleMania weekend crowd was a great send-off. As they try to make waves in the tag division on the main roster, Ciampa and Gargano try to make a name for themselves in NXT.

Baron Corbin defeated Tucker Knight

Another NXT graduate, Baron Corbin's victories at WrestleMania 32andMonday Night RAW had not happened with this match was taped. While Tucker Knight still has some work before he's ready for the main roster, Corbin showed exactly why he is being called up and pushed so hard.

Bayley defeated Liv Morgan

The transition in the NXT Universe from Bayley as Women's Champion to Asuka is noticeable. In much the same way that Sami Zayn did, Bayley cut a promo to make it clear she had every intention of being a two-time champion after "letting everyone down" atTakeOver: Dallas.

She put on a solid match with new-comer Liv Morgan to show why she's such an important part of the NXT brand.

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Tye Dillinger

While Hideo Itami was quite an addition to the NXT roster, it didn't have the same impact as the debut of Shinsuke Nakamura. While the NXT Universe eagerly awaits the return of Hideo, Shinsuke is blowing people away as the "King of Strong Style." Dillinger put up a good fight, but there was never any question about Nakamura being the victor in this one.

Of course, the hour-long episode had a few promos and vignettes scattered throughout, all of which helped build next week's episode.

Samoa Joe noted that he wants a piece of Apollo Crewsnext week which will likely be one of Apollo's last matches in NXT.Finn Balor said that he would be watching Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tye Dillinger, as Nakamura is a likely contender for the NXT Championship. Whoever is behindNo Way Jose debuts next week, and before they part ways with NXT for good,Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady have agreed to face NXT Tag Team ChampionsAmerican Alpha next week in a non-title match.
