Round of 16 Fixtures - Week 2

Tuesday 23rd February 2016

  • Arsenal vs. Barcelona (Emirates Stadium)

Arsenal will gladly welcome the Champions League champions FC Barcelona at the Emirates and will be looking to cause the upset, as they are the underdogs. While F.C Barcelona's hit striker Lionel Messi will be looking to break his goal drought against Arsenal Goalie (Petr Cech) at the Emirates (a record which no other Goalkeeper who has played against Messi in more 2 games has been able to top).

Prediction: Barcelona wins

  • Juventus vs Bayern Munich (Old Lady / Juventus Stadium)

Juventus will be hosting the German Champions Bayern Munich. Juventus are currently going into this game with a disappointment as they were unable to keep their winning streak during the weekend as they drew goalless against Bologna, which means their run of 15 consecutive Serie A victories ended.

Bayern are the only foreign team to have beat Juventus at the Juventus Stadium in April, 2013.

Wednesday, February 24th

  • PSV Eindhoven vs Atlético Madrid

Athletico Madrid have arguably the best defense in club football after having played 20 La Liga matches and conceded only 8 goals (and only three times in the UEFA Champions League).

Prediction: Atletico Madrid wins

  • Dynamo Kyiv vs Man City

Manchester City seem fully prepared because key players in the first team did not feature in a previous game.

We are likely to see a stronger City side with players having to rest during the weekend for this Champions League encounter with Dynamo Kyiv.

Dynamo Kyiv have played twice with Manchester City, prevailing 2-1 on aggregate when the clubs met in the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League round of 16.

Prediction: draw.
