Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is under a lot of stress as he waits to hear what, if any, criminal charges will be brought against him as a result of a fight that occurred at a Philadelphia nightclub over the weekend.

ESPN reporter Mark Schwartz said that charges are not likely to come anytime soon because prosecutors want to make a thorough investigation of the evidence before they make a decision.

Bills waiting to see if LeSean McCoy will be charged

According to nj.com, McCoy had been at a Philadelphia nightclub with three of his friends when the fight occurred. From what is available in a video posted by TMZ and according to a report by 6ABC, it does not seem like it is a question of if LeSean McCoy and his friends will face charges, but when he will be charged.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has a reputation of being very strict when it comes to incidents that happen outside of the Football stadium, will probably not like the fact that McCoy got into a bar fight. And on top of that, the fact that two police officers were involved in the incident will only make Goodell’s opinion of McCoy worse.

Full consequences of brawl are yet to be seen

If an arrest warrant is issued, it would be in LeSean McCoy’s best interest to turn himself in. By doing so, he will be putting himself in the position to negotiate with authorities, allowing for Larry Krasner, McCoy’s current attorney in this matter, to do his job more effectively. Krasner took over the running back’s case after his former attorney Jack McMahon left the case for unexplained reasons.

Due to the fact thatthe NFL likes to handle these types of issues internally, McCoy will most likely be banned from playing for a certain amount of time and probably face some fines. However, depending on the charge, he may be forced to deal with the consequences of his actions behind bars.

Regardless of the outcome of the situation, everyone has something to learn from this incident.

Goodell’s reputation tells NFL fans that violence, from any player, will not be tolerated. It remains to be seen how LeSean McCoy will be held accountable for his actions.
