Pavan Negi is expected to debut for India as they take on Sri Lanka in the 2nd t20 international game at Ranchi on Friday, February 12, 2016.

India, after defeating the mighty Australian team 3-0 in the t20 series last month, lost the first game miserably against Sri Lanka at home. India was even unable to put up a decent score batting first against the disciplined bowling attack of the Lankans.

The Lankans would like to win this match and to make it 2-0, the hosts would have to go all-out to win this one and level the series.

Hardik Pandya, who failed to score in the first game, is likely to sit out today,

For Sri Lanka, Tillakaratne Dilshan has recovered from an injury and will play in place of Niroshan Dickwella.

This venue which is the hometown of Indian skipper Dhoni has never hosted a t20 international game before, but it has hosted two One Day games, and both have been high scoring ones.

The pitch is dry, and the temperature is in the 20s, perfect for playing cricket.
