FC Barcelona took a big step toward winning another major trophy with a 7-0 demolishing victory against Valencia in the Copa del Rey semi-final. Luis Suarez scored four goals and Argentinian magician Lionel Messi added three goals. Valencia’s five game winning run in the Copa del Rey came to an end as Barcelona completely dominated today’s game.

From the start to the last minutes of the game it was Blaugrana who was far better organized and played with more confidence.

Their determination payed off quickly, as Luis Enrique’s side took the lead just after seven minutes of the game. The Brazilian wonderkid – Neymar took the ball in the middle of the pitch and quickly delivered it to Luis Suarez, who made no mistake in a one on one situation with the goalkeeper.

The Catalans were on fire and only five minutes later they doubled their lead and it was Luis Suarez,who added another goal to his statistics. Second goal was a result of beautiful one-two game between the striker and Aleix Vidal, who sent a perfect past to his teammate. Suarez finished the play without any problem making it 2-0.

Barca's best game of the season?

In 29th minute Leo Messi started his own show, as he recieved a brillant pass from Luis Suarez who helped the Argentinian to score the third goal of the game. When Valencia was devastated by Barca’s domination things got even worse, as Shkodran Mustafi was given a red card for fouling Messi in the penalty area. Neymar missed the penalty-kick, but Gary Neville’s side was forced to play with only ten men.

Second half

At the start of the second half Barcelona decided to slow down the pace of the game, giving more possessions to their opponents, but it was only a way to start increasing the pressure.

In the 58th minute Lionel Messi scored another goal and fifteen minutes later he completed his hat-trick, but the nightmare still wasn’t over for Valencia. In the last minutes of the game Luis Suarez addend two more goals, making it 7-0 for the Catalans.

The bad News for Valencia is that they have to play Barcelona once again in the next week and this brutal defeat will surely leave a bad taste in their mouths.
