It was revealed on WWE Monday Night Raw thatDwayne "The Rock" Johnson would be atWrestleMania 32. The Rock has been at the last fiveWrestleMania's, Wrestling in 2012 and 2013. His role in Dallas has not yet been revealed, but with the WWE still trying to get Roman Reigns over, it's entirely possible that The Rock could challenge his cousin for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship atWrestleMania 32. And if that's the story the WWE wants to build toward, the easiest way to get things started would be for a surprise return from The Rock in this year's Rumble Match.

The Rock isn't the most experienced Rumble competitor, having only entered the Rumble Match four times.

In fact, The Rock skipped the Royal Rumblefor ten years from 2003-2012. Even so, theRumble event has been good to The Rock in the eight Rumble bouts he's competed in. The Rock will be the fifth in a series of "Royal RumbleRésumé" articles(includingJohn Cena,Randy Orton, Triple H and The Big Show)in which we take a look at some of the biggest names in WWE, how they have fared at theRumble in the past, and then make predictions for how they will do this year.

For each WWE Superstar, we will take a look at both their experience in the Rumble Match and in other matches at theRumble PPV.

The Rock's singles matches atRoyal Rumble

The Rock has competed in four matches outside of the Rumble Match at WWE's January PPV, all of them title matches.

He retained the Intercontinental Championship against Ken Shamrock in 1998, and took the WWE Championship from Mankind in 1999, and CM Punk in 2013.

His only unsuccessful singles match at theRoyal Rumblecame in 2002 when he failed to take the Undisputed WWE Championship from Chris Jericho. Leaving with the gold 75% of the time is a sign that theRoyal Rumble is good to The Rock.

Royal Rumble Match entry number

The Rock has been in the Rumble Match four times, entering at #25, #4, #24 and #13. In just four entries, he's already shown that he can come in early, late, or right in the middle. Avoiding extremes of never drawing #1, #2 or #30, his average entry number is #9 or #10.

In this day and age, if The Rock was a surprise entrant, and he came in early in the event, social media would blow up, and a lot of people who were planning on streaming it later would probably find a way to watch it live. WWE loves to win social media.

Length of stay and elimination order

Even in his early years, Rocky Maivia never lasted less than thirteen minutes in a Rumble Match. In 2001 he lasted over 38 minutes, and lasted over 51 minutes in 1998. On average, The Rock is in the Rumble match for a shade under 30 minutes.

In his last three appearances, The Rock won the Rumble once and finished 28th overall twice. Finishing 23rd overall in 1997, his average finish is 27 or 28. Could you imagine a Rumble Match with The Rock, John Cena and Triple H as the last three competitors?

Eliminator / eliminated

The Rock never set any records with his eliminations, averaging just 2.625 tosses per appearance. It's not exactly an impressive list of victims. Of the 10.5 competitors that The Rock has eliminated, only The Big Show (who makes up two of Rock's eliminations) is a former world champion.

It does take someone significant to toss The Rock, however. The three times he's gone over the top rope and to the floor, it was done by Mankind, Steve Austin, and Kane.

To be clear, there has been no indication that The Rock will be appearing at theRoyal Rumble. But as they like to say, anything can happen in the WWE, and they love surprise returns in the Rumble Match. If The Rock does enter the Rumble, you can expect him to make a late entrance, toss a few jabroni's, and be there at the very end.

Royal Rumble 2016 will air live on the WWE Network on January 17.
