It's been a rough two years for ex-WWE world heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan, as he has been out of action with an injury for the better part of both 2014 and 2015.

Back in 2014, Bryan was forced to forfeit his newly won WWE world title due to a neck injury that required surgery. At the time, many doubted that Bryan would ever be able to return to the ring, and if he did, he would need to drastically change his in-ring style so he could stay healthy in both the short and long term.

This year, Bryan was forced to forfeit yet another newly won championship due to injury, this time the intercontinental title.

When it was initially reported that Daniel Bryan was injured, and would be forced out of action yet again, it was assumed that he had suffered another neck injury, but that wasn't the case.

Over the last nine months, Daniel Bryan has been out of action due to concussion issues, which he says are no longer a problem, and that he's ready to return to the ring. However, WWE has been hesitant to clear him, as their head of medical, Dr. Joseph Maroon, has advised the company to not let the ex-WWE champion wrestle ever again because he has suffered too many concussions throughout his career.

Bryan badly wants to wrestle again, but he also understands WWE's perspective on not allowing him to return to the ring.

However, while he understands WWE's position, he still says that he wants to wrestle again, and he's willing to go elsewhere to do it if WWE doesn't allow him to.

While promoting WWE in Singapore, Daniel Bryan was asked about his future with WWE, and whether or not we've seen the last of him in the ring.

Bryan answered by saying that his WWE career may be over, but his career in Wrestling may not be, once again hinting at the fact that he may leave WWE after his contract expires if they don't allow him to wrestle again.

"I think it could be the end of my career in WWE, but I don't think it will be the end of my career," said Bryan.

"I could find another passion, but it would just be sad because this is what I have been most passionate about since I was five."

There's has been a bit of a fan conspiracy theory that WWE won't allow Daniel Bryan to return to the ring before WrestleMania 32 in April because they don't want him to ruin their plans for the event for the third year in a row. Basically, the theory is that WWE isn't really concerned about his health, and they're only concerned about their biggest show of year.

This theory was furthered by Tommy Dreamer's return to WWE, who has openly said that he has suffered over a dozen concussions throughout his professional wrestling career.

So will Daniel Bryan ever wrestle again?

The answer is yes. But, will it be for WWE? That remains to be seen.
