Its been well-known for quite a while now that former WWE world heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will be returning to the WWE later this month, and he'll be doing so at a WWE live event in Inglewood, California. But its been unknown as to whom "The Beast" would end up being in the ring with at the event.

It was reported on Thursday on The Forum in Inglewood, California's Facebook page that Brock Lesnar will be facing the United States champion Alberto Del Rio upon his return, and the title will be on the line.

It does seem unlikely that the WWE will have Lesnar win the U.S. title when he returns, as it's been known for quite some time now that, when John Cena returns, he'll feud with Del Rio for the title, and eventually win the belt back.

As for how the WWE gets out of the match without Lesnar winning the title, well, there's always the not-so-popular option of a disqualification. Or, even a count out.

Ticket sales for the WWE live event in California where Lesnar will be appearing haven't been all that great, which the WWE is hoping will change.

As for when Brock Lesnar will actually return to WWE television, well, it'll be before the end of this year, and it'll likely be on the Slammy Awards show, which is typically WWE's year-end show. It's also likely that Lesnar will be accepting multiple awards that night, possibly both the "Match of the Year" award for the triple-threat match against John Cena and Seth Rollins at the Royal Rumble, and "Superstar of the Year."

Don't expect Lesnar to actually have a television feud with Alberto Del Rio when he finally does return to WWE television, as WWE will, more than likely, position Lesnar for either the WrestleMania main-event, or a match with the current intercontinental champion Kevin Owens, which has been rumored for quite some time now.

There's also some speculation that Lesnar will be in the Royal Rumble match in January, and challenge for the WWE world heavyweight championship at WrestleMania 32. But, of course, that remains to be seen.
