Ronda Rousey said she "never hesitated" about fulfilling her promise of attending the Marine Corps Ball withJarrod Haschert, a Marine stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, even after getting knocked out during the second round of her fight against Holly Holm in November.

According to ESPN, Haschert was starting to worry that he would be stood up when he hadn't heard from Rousey. However, Rousey's friend said the former UFC bantamweight women's champion never thought twice about cancelling her date.

"After the fight, she never hesitated for a second whether or not she was going to attend," a source close to Ronda toldthe sports news site. "She made a promise to a Marine and was going to keep that promise. It was as simple as that. That's Ronda."

Jarrod first asked Rousey to the Marine Corps Ball back in August, telling her she was his celebrity crush in a video posted to Facebook, which has since been viewed more than five million times.

"You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think that you are a phenomenal person," Haschert said in his video, "which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11th. I really hope this doesn't get in the way of your training ... but I hope you take this in consideration, because if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true."

After the video was brought to her attention, Rousey told TMZ that she would gladly go to the ball with Haschert, but she wasn't sure how to get in touch with him.

"Do I call him, do I set up a time and place like 'Never Been Kissed' and just show up and have him waiting there?" Rousey jokedat the time, adding that she thought he was cute.

The Marine Corps Ball marks Rousey's first public appearance since her loss against Holly Holm.

Although she tried to avoid the cameras, TMZ was able to catch up with Ronda as she entered her SUV to head to the Los Angeles airport to travel to North Carolina.

"I'm going to the Marine ball," she said. "Yeah, I promised I'd go. It's an honor to be asked. Honestly, I'd probably stay on my couch, crying and eating ice cream if he hadn't asked me. So it's probably a good thing."
