Manchester United’s dream of winning Champions League came to an end as Red Devils lost 3-2 in Germany against Wolfsburg. English team was eliminatek by Dutch team PSV, who won their game against CSKA Moscow. Louis Van Gaal’s side will play in Europa League Cup, as they finished at the 3rd place in Group B.

Manchester travelled to Germany knowing that only victory would give them progression into the next round of Champions League competition.

But lost to Wolfsburg coupled with PSV Eindhoven’s victory in Moscow put Manchester United out of the knockout round for the fourth time in the club’s history.

The game started really well for Manchester United, as French youngster Anthony Martial opened the score in the 10th minute, when Juan Mata sent a beautiful through ball to the striker, who made no mistake in front of the goal. After few minutes Wolfsburg managed to score an equaliser in the 13th minute thanks to Naldo, who took advantage of perfect cross from free kick performed by Ricardo Rodriguez.

Juan Mata and Anthony Martial tried to reply their action from the 10th minute, but this time Wolfsburg goalkeeper denied French striker’s attempt with an acrobatic save in the 27th minute. The German team continued to impress as they constructed their attacks in great style. They used on of this action to score thier second goal, when Julian Draxler and Max Kruse played a beautiful one-two combination to go through the United’s defence before setting up the third player, Vierinha for a simple shot that went past David de Gea.

In the second half Manchester Uniteddominatem the early stages of the second 45 minutes of the game. They tried to beat Benaglio with coupe shots, but they couldn’t find the way to put the ball in the net. But in the 82th minute Marouane Fellaini header was sent over Wolfsburg goalkeeper and with only few minutes on the clock Manchester United were happy with the draw. Two minutes later Naldo’s header founds its way to the United’s goal just before the end of the game.
