Enyimba International Football Club (Nzogbu! Nzogbu), a Nigerian football club based in the city of Aba, Abia State has for the 7th time been crowned CHAMPIONS of the Nigeria Professional Football League with one game left to go showing us the stuff of champions.

Enyimba F.C. were looking for just one point before going into the game against their closest rivals, Warri Wolves, on Sunday Nov. 8th, 2015.

They went into the game and held on even when they were reduced to 10 men until they forced out a goalless draw out of the game which made them six points clear of Warri Wolves on their tails with 69 points.

"The People’s Elephant" as they are called, clinched the title with five wins and seven draws on away turf (which is the best away form of the season in the NPFL). This title means that the the two-time African Champions are back on the continental champions league (CAF Champions League) in which they will battle it out with the likes of T.P Mozambique who are the title holders lifting the title twice in 2 years on the same day Enyimba was crowned champions of NPFL.

Kano Pillar has been dethroned as the Champions of Nigeria and they are not even in the top five contending for their title, having had the worst season ever with their 12-year unbeaten home record in the Nigerian Premier League come to an end as they lost 2-1 to Nasarawa United.

Warri Wolves, who lost to their closest rivals, will also be expected to end the season as runners-up and earn a ticket to next year’s CAF Champions League only if they are to win the game against relegated FC Taraba on the final day of the season - next week.

Enyimba F.C. top striker Peter Onyekachi had the best chance of the game to give his team the lead, but poorly controlled a long ball that found him to let the Warri Wolves goalkeeper Okiemute Odah pull off a save.
