Did you miss European football as I did? After two weeks of no much fun, here comes the best football competition in the whole wide world – help me welcome the UEFA Champions League! Match Day 3. The most exciting Soccer league in Europe and as I like to call it "The magic cup" where there are upsets, favorites, goal machines, skills and lots more. This special edition is without previews of the matches (sorry) but it is substituted with a new feature - (Are You Aware?) stats of the both teams and as usual my predictions and yours on the comments box, plus some questions about the biggest games.

Tuesday, October 20

BATE vs Barcelona

Prediction: 0 - 1

Are you Aware?: That Barcelona trashed BATE by nine (9) goals when the clubs met in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League group stage.

B. Leverkusen vs Roma

Prediction: 1 - 1

Are you Aware?: B. Leverkusen beat the Giallorossi 3-1 at home, overturning a first-half Dimitar Berbatov own goal through second-half strikes by Roque Júnior, Jacek Krzynówek and França. Roma finished with nine men in the game following the sent-offs of Christian Panucci and Daniele De Rossi.

Arsenal vs Bayern

Prediction: 0 - 3

Are you Aware?: Arsenal have won only one of their four home games against Bayern.

Dinamo Zagreb vs Olympiacos

Prediction: 3 - 1

Prediction: 2 - 1

Dynamo Kyiv vs Chelsea

Prediction: 1 - 2

Zenit vs Lyon

Prediction: 2 - 2

Are you Aware?: The teams have no previous meeting.

For the first time Zenit have won their opening two UEFA Champions League group games and that Villas-Boas was coach of the Tottenham Hotspur FC team who overcame Lyon in the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League round of 32.

Valencia vs Gent

Prediction: 2 - 0

Are you Aware?: Valencia won the second leg 2-0 at Mestalla through goals from David Villa and Patrick Kluivert when the both team met in 2005 UEFA Intertoto Cup.

Malmö vs Shakhtar Donetsk

Prediction: 1 - 3

Are you Aware?:The teams are meeting each other for the first time.

Both Malmö FF and FC Shakhtar Donetsk lost their opening two fixtures in this competition.
