The transfer window is finally over, but it wasn’t a happy day for fans of English Premier League club Arsenal. The Londoners struggled to buy a world class striker, because anyone of them wasn’t available on the transfer market. Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has said that Arsenal can’t win the English Premier League title this season after their lack of activity in the transfer market.

Arsene Wenger’s side signed just one player this summer which was Petr Cech. No other club in England’s top flight signed less than five new faces and the average number of new deals standing at around seven.

‘The Gunners’ tried to sign a new forward to help out Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott, but they failed to land anybody after being rejected by Real Madrid’s striker Karim Benzema and his club.

In the last day of transfer window Arsene Wenger tried to secure Edinson Cavani, but his club decided to keep the Uruguayan in his squad.

The Sky Sports News expert and Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry said that he don’t know if Arsene Wenger tried to sign Benzema or not, but the player must also want to join the club. Henry suggested that it is hard to offer something more to the player who is playing for one of the best teams in the world and performing really well.

Henry said that it will be extremely hard for Arsenal to win the Premier League title this year. They are already five points behind current leader – Manchester City. Arsene Wenger’s side still have not won a single game at home and won only two games by an own goal.

French striker believes that Arsene Wenger is a special manager and he could still perform with his team at the highest level, but Manchester City’s squad is really strong and it will be really hard to beat them this season.

After just four games of the new season Arsenal got only seven points, while Manchester maintained their perfect start with 4 wins of 4.

‘The Citizens’ added to their squad three star player – Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Otamendi and Kevin de Bruyne. Manuel Pellegrini’s side is confident of winning the title this year but there are 34 games left and nobody is going to give up.
