Last season's Premier League Champions Chelsea FC finally bagged their first victory of the new season on Sunday, beating West Bromwich Albion 3-2 in a dramatic and highly entertaining game. New player from Camp Nou, Pedro, enjoyed a dream debut as he recorded one goal and one assist in the first half of the game. West Brom could have scored first just after 14 minutes, but Chelsea’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made a great save with his legs to deny penalty kick from James Morrison. A few minutes later Pedro finished a quick counter-attack with a lucky shot that went to the net. Later, he added an assist, laying the ball off to his close friend Diego Costa.

James Morrison had finally scored a goal and managed to put the Baggies back in it five minutes after Costa’s goal, but Chelsea restored the Blues’ two-goal lead via goal of Cesar Azpilicueta just three minutes before break.

Just after the break, Chelsea’s captain John Terry pulled back Salomon Rondon and he was given his marching orders as he was a last defender. Morrison added a second goal, but managed to secure their first win of the 2015-16 season.

Manchester City continued their perfect start to the new season by beating Everton 2-0 at their own stadium, Goodison Park. Defender Aleksandar Kolorov fired Citizens in front at the start of the second-half after the brilliant assist from Raheem Sterling. Both teams had their chances in the first-half, with Romelu Lukaku hitting the crossbar while David Silva struck against the post.
