Spoiler alerts for "The Young and the Restless" tease that the Ashby's may find they are no longer compatible and are headed for a breakup. The couple has been growing apart since Lily was sent to prison and each now has priorities that the other cannot understand. Cane is dealing with being a single dad to the twins and fighting his feelings for Victoria. His wife is focused on survival and helping other inmates do the same. The long-distance relationship is making it harder for the couple to remain on the same page. Victoria Newman is a distraction that could prove disastrous for Charlie and Mattie's parents.

The handwriting is on the wall for Cane and Lily

Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests that the handwriting is on the wall for the Ashby marriage. The spoiler says that Lily will be committed to helping women like herself survive in prison and that she is changing because she has been incarcerated. Her husband cannot relate to this and, in addition, he has the burden of being a single dad. His hands are full with Charlie and Mattie and he is also remembering kissing Victor Newman's daughter.

Victoria will probably give in to temptation with Cane as a way to distract herself from her feelings for Billy. It's selfish but both of them are in need of a shoulder to lean on at this time. Should Cane come clean with his wife, this double betrayal will probably be the final nail in their marriage.

If spoilers are correct, this may be the reason Lily files for divorce. Cane is not thinking clearly and certainly not looking out for the welfare of baby Sam. He also is not thinking about how he almost lost his family because of Juliet and he may be in jeopardy of losing all again.

Victoria and Cane must deal with their feelings

Soap Hub says that Cane will be reluctant to attend J.T.'s memorial service because he knows he will see Victoria. Although both say they don't like the other, the kiss indicates there is a thin line between love (or lust) and hate. Celeb Dirty Laundry revealed last week, that one of Mal Young's last storylines is of Vicky and Cane having an affair.

Ms. Newman has put the breaks on a reunion with Billy so sleeping with Lily's husband may give her the ability to stay away from her former husband.

Victoria and Cane will have to deal with their feelings but if they hook up it will likely destroy the people they love the most. Billy, Reed, Mattie, Charlie, Lily, and Jill will all be shocked and disappointed so perhaps this will be a quick fling and the new head writer will right this terrible wrong.
