New power-ups and forms aren't a new thing in the Dragon Ball universe. The Zenkai (Full Recovery) ability, that is exclusive to Saiyans, allows Goku, Vegeta, and other Saiyans to surpass their power limit.

The first most hyped form was none other than Goku's Super Saiyan form. Goku's latest limit-breaker form, Ultra Instinct, was also much anticipated by the fans. However, Goku isn't the only one that knows how Mastered Ultra Instinct works.

Master Roshi's Ultra Instinct technique

It might seem like a joke to "Dragon Ball" fans, but it's true that Master Roshi also has ties to the Ultra Instinct technique. The new chapter of "Dragon Ball Super" manga (Chapter 39), which was recently posted by Shueisha, contained tons of new info.

Currently, the manga series is in the middle of the Tournament of Power arc and it was during Master Roshi’s fight that revealed his technique, similar to Ultra Instinct.

In Chapter 39, Master Roshi scolds Goku when he forcefully tries to break his power limit with raw power, rather than focusing on fighting techniques. Goku’s former teacher prove his point by going toe-to-toe against the mighty Pride Trooper, Jiren. Anime fans know that Jiren is by far the most powerful opponent that Goku ever had, but this turn of events in the manga has even shocked the anime fans.

A scan from the new chapter was shared by @GovetaXV on Twitter in which Master Roshi goes all-out against Jiren. At first, the battle seems like it will turn out as a one-hit knockout for Master Roshi, but even the Angels and Gods of Destruction are left baffled when Jiren starts blocking Master Roshi’s punches.

According to Comicbook, Whis, who is watching the battle from the stand, says that Roshi's style is quite similar to, but far from "that" technique. Whis is clearly referring to Ultra Instinct in this indication. The art is also quite comparable to Ultra Instinct movement, take a look at it yourself:

Roshi fades when Jiren tries to punch him, which means that he is able to move his body without any conscious thought. Goku and the others are surprised to see how easily Master Roshi dodges incoming strikes from Jiren and hops and slides around him like it's nothing

Master Roshi is knocked out after putting up a good fight against Jiren.
