Although "Dragon Ball Super" came to an end, fans are excited for the release of the new "Dragon Ball Heroes" anime. The anime is based on the arcade game of the same name and will tide fans over until the release of "Dragon Ball Super: The Movie [VIDEO]." The upcoming spin-off is a promotional series which will only have a few episodes.

According to well-known translator Todd Blankenship, who goes by the Twitter handle @Herms98, the anime will stream on July 1. There will also be a screening in Japan. As of now, there is no update on if it will be available on cable TV. It appears that "Dragon Ball Heroes" will be viewed online.

This spin-off will feature characters like Future Trunks, Cooler, and Goku Xeno since it will cover the Prison Planet arc of the game. Fans will also see Super Saiyan Blue Goku. But what can we expect from the first episode of the anime?

According to Otakukart, Episode 1 will begin with Future Trunks time traveling back to Goku and Vegeta. However, he suddenly disappears. The disappearance of Future Trunks might mean that there is a huge threat in the future. Aside from that, it is also possible that Trunks will be caught in the middle due to a conflict between his father Vegeta and Goku. While everyone is wondering where Future Trunks went, Fu will appear. He will tell Goku and the rest of the Z-heroes that Trunks is in a place called Prison Planet.

Who is Fu?

Fu is a new character with purple skin.

He wears glasses and sports white hair. This tall and lean character's origin is unknown. What role will Fu play in the anime? It is possible that Fu is an antagonist who will pose a threat on planet Earth. Spoilers reveal that Fu is the one who brought Trunks into the Prison Planet. What is the intention of Fu? What are his powers and abilities? What will happen to Trunks? As expected, Goku and his friends will find a way to rescue Trunks. However, it will not be easy especially that they do not know the exact location of the Prison Planet, which is possibly placed between universes.

Two Gokus

Another exciting thing about "Dragon Ball Heroes" is the appearance of two Gokus in Episode 1, as reported by ComicBook.com. Super Saiyan Blue Goku will be fighting his Super Saiyan 4 form. As of now, it is still unknown how this will happen. But for sure, this is an exciting thing to watch [VIDEO]. Since its broadcast on Tokyo TV has not been announced, the special spin-off will be available only online. Fans can watch it for free on Funimation and Crunchyroll during its premiere on July 1.
