Kailyn Lowry and her "Teen Mom 2" co-star, Leah Messer, are currently in Hawaii on a trip with a group of people. It's a trip that the girls have talked about on social media for weeks and it's great to see them spending time together. Many fans of "Teen Mom 2" are hoping that this trip will be captured by the camera crew, as they are technically still filming the show. While the trip has been fun so far, there was one incident that Leah Messer shared on SnapChat. While playing around in the ocean, an incident happened that caused Leah and Kailyn to think that they were going to die.
It's uncertain what really happened, but Kailyn and Leah revealed on social media that they thought they were going to die. Fans who had watched the social media posts and videos couldn't stop laughing at them, as it looked funny. However, it sounds like they didn't think it was funny. Several media outlets have shared the story and it sounds like Kailyn had no problem sharing the story on her Twitter this morning. But according to a new tweet, Kailyn Lowry's followers are now calling them drama queens. Apparently, her followers don't think that the incident was as serious as they are making it out to be.
Ocean, wave and the tide
It's uncertain what truly happened, as the girls made it seem like it was a scary incident involving the ocean and a wave.
There could also be the issue of the tide, which could have pulled the girls away from the shore. However, it sounds like they were able to get out of trouble without any assistance from lifeguards. Plus, if they were filming the incident with their phones, surely it wasn't so serious. If it was truly a matter of life and death, they would have dropped their phones and focused on saving their lives.
Fans don't believe them
Perhaps this is why their fans are questioning their stories. Maybe they are overexaggerating slightly. It's possible that they both got scared because they had underestimated the waves and the strong tides. But it sounds like fans believe they should have handled things differently, as they truly made fans believe that they were close to death.
The girls have yet to reveal whether they are coming back from Hawaii this week, but one can imagine they want to get back to their kids. Kailyn has left her three sons behind, while Leah's three daughters are home in West Virginia.
What do you think of Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer's story about them almost dying? Do you think they are "drama queens" for how they handled it?
