Tyler Baltierra has had a rough couple of months. His wife, Catelynn Lowell, has been in rehab two separate times since November. While she didn't share her issues, it was mentioned that she had suicidal thoughts. With “Teen Mom OG” airing a new season, fans quickly put together the cause of her downward spiral. It was revealed that Tyler and Catelynn were expecting their third child together. Unfortunately, it looks like the baby was miscarried.
Rehab
It appears that rehab is a term Tyler Baltierra has become all too familiar with. Catelynn Lowell will have been to treatment three times when this latest stint is complete.
Baltierra's father, Butch, has also been in and out of rehab and jail for most of his life. He has had to be strong for the people he loves, and in the process, has become somewhat numb to the notion of rehab. While Lowell is away, Tyler is the primary caregiver for their toddler daughter, Novalee. On top of that, he is also helping to parent his father.
In a new clip from the upcoming episode of “Teen Mom OG,” OK Magazine shares a tender moment between Tyler Baltierra and his dad. Butch is venting to his son about his daughter and Tyler's sister. She is living with him and the things he is seeing are not what others are. Baltierra then goes on to address the option for rehab he had set up for Butch, giving him the option to call for himself.
This will be the first time for Butch to go while not being ordered by the court. It will be of his own free will, something that is a huge deal.
The future
Right now, it is unclear what the future holds for Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell. He is dealing with a lot on his plate, especially with the nearly back-to-back rehab stint, and taking care of Novalee on his own.
At some point, the miscarriage will likely be addressed, but no specific timeline has been addressed. Baltierra has been working on getting his life together as well. He recently dropped over 20 pounds, which sparked some chaos on social media. “Teen Mom OG” viewers asked him about how his wife would feel regarding his transformation.
