There are only eight minutes remaining until the Tournament of Power in “Dragon Ball Super” ends. The fate of both Universe 7 and Universe 11 depends on the result of the hotly contested competition. If we base it on the number of fighters in the arena, Universe 7 has the greatest chance of surviving the tournament. However, Universe 11 has Jiren, who, up to this writing, is still undefeated and the strongest fighter in the Tournament of Power. Throughout the competition, Jiren’s identity is shrouded in mystery.

Fans are intrigued about the fighter’s origin and true power. Interestingly, there are several details in the latest episode that revealed Jiren’s real intention as a fighter and in joining the Tournament of Power.

True intention

On Sunday (Jan. 7), Episode 122 of “Dragon Ball Super” aired and it never disappointed. Fans were delighted to finally see Vegeta take on Universe 11’s Jiren the Gray. However, before the Prince of All Saiyans stole the spotlight from Son Goku, he was the one fighting the strongest Pride Trooper. While fighting, Jiren asked Son Goku [VIDEO] why he likes to fight. The fan-favorite Saiyan replied that he is not sure but he just wants to fight. When Goku asked Jiren why he sought for greater strength, Jiren replied that he wanted to discover what is beyond strength. In a way, Jiren revealed one of his reasons why he joined the Tournament of Power. This is not only to get the chance to wish to the Super Dragon Balls but also to discover what lies beyond strength.

Meanwhile, Episode 122 showcased the explosive fights between Freeza and Dyspo, Gohan Android 17 and Toppo, and Son Goku, Vegeta, and Jiren. In the middle of the fight between Goku and Jiren, the Prince of All Saiyans barged in and faced Jiren. Vegeta gave his opponent a good fight. However, Jiren was too powerful [VIDEO] for him and at the end of the episode, even with his Final Flash, he was beaten and Jiren was unshaken.

At the end of the episode, it was revealed through the preview that Vegeta will unleash a new power-up that will be stronger than Super Saiyan Blue. Will this be enough to send the strongest Pride Trooper of Universe 11 out of the arena? What will be the name of the new power-up of the Prince of All Saiyans? There are a lot of questions left unanswered and fans are excited for the next episode that will officially air on January 14.
