The latest updates for "Dragon Ball FighterZ" reveal the possibility of unlocking loot boxes and Android 21 as the last boss character in the game. Anime and video game fans who have already gotten the game early discovered that it featured loot boxes for them grind and unlock new items for their character. Playing for loot boxes has been a huge market for the video game industry as gamers play endless hours just to gain access to the powerful and rare items to increase their status.

As for Android 21, the new issue of V-Jump Magazine revealed the latter's Final Form, making her a playable and final boss character in the game.

New playable character

According to the Japanese magazine, Android 21's final form is similar to "Dragon Ball" villain Majin Buu as she has pink skin, a tail, and the Majin symbol on her forehead.


She will use this form during combat as she can fire finger energy beams like Frieza and turns her opponents into food.

Android 21 will act as the final boss and playable character in "Dragon Ball FighterZ." She is an original character from the game created by Akira Toriyama, and she is one of the central characters in the game's story mode. Based on the games trailers and beta tests, Android 21 is responsible for the creation of the clone army that will destroy the earth in the future.

Son Goku, Frieza, Android 18, and the rest of the Z warriors must work together to stop her and save the earth from destruction. Players will take on three paths and each path will determine the course of the main story.


Story mode will also feature side-missions and players will have a chance to interact with other players and characters in the game.

The game will feature 24 playable characters from both "DBZ" and "Super" anime series such as Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Cell, Kid Buu, Beerus, Goku Black, and Hit. Reddit username Leakileaks claimed that Bandai Namco Entertainment will release six DLC characters for the game's post-launch plans.

The rumored DLC characters are Bardock, Zarbon, Raditz, Broly, and the base forms of Son Goku and Vegeta.

Getting Loot Boxes

Video games fans who have bought the early copies of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" discovered that they can buy and unlock loot boxes called "Z Capsules" in the game.The Z Capsules will be cosmetic which allows players to customize their lobby Avatar and the entire roster.


The loot boxes will not be purchased through microtransactions, but rather using two kinds of in-game currency. The first one is called Zeni and it can be achieved by playing to the game's various battle modes. Next is Premium Z coins and they are earned by trading items found in duplicate Z Capsules.
