Did Jenelle Evans lie to police about her mother's alleged assault on her eight-year-old son, Jace? Months after Barbara Evans was granted with full custody of the child, the "Teen Mom 2" star called 911 and claimed the child had informed her that Barbara was hitting him. However, according to Barbara, her reality star's phone call to the authorities on November 30 was a complete hoax.
Speaking to Radar Online on December 12, Barbara Evans said she was taken aback when police arrived at her home in North Carolina and began questioning Jace about her behavior.
That said, Jace quickly confirmed that he had not been hit by his grandmother, thus shutting down Jenelle Evans' story of abuse.
In her 911-call to police, Jenelle Evans said that Jace had called her crying and saying that Barbara Evans was hitting him. “He’s huffing and puffing he can’t breathe,” she alleged in a recording of the phone call. That said, Barbara explained to Radar Online that it was Jace who was having a bit of a meltdown as his ADHD medication began to wear off.
The North Carolina Police know all about Jenelle Evans and her drama
“[Jace] was just so upset, throwing toys at me and kicking the walls," Barbara Evans explained. Then, when police arrived, Jace had calmed down and was able to speak to the cops.
Barbara also spoke to the cops herself and quickly realized that they were well-aware of Jenelle Evans and her antics.
“The officer said to me ‘This is just another thing with [Jenelle Evans] and her drama. She is just trying to get ratings up for ["Teen Mom 2"],’" Barbara Evans explained.
"They know what she is all about.”
Barbara blames Jenelle for their family feud
Jenelle Evans and her mom have been estranged ever since Barbara was awarded full custody of Jace, and in September, Evans failed to invite her mother to her wedding. Luckily, Jace was able to attend, but the incident surely put even more of a strain on her relationship with Barbara.
According to Barbara Evans, she and Jenelle would be on better terms if she would start putting her son first. As Barbara explained, she has continued to put him first for years and continues to go to therapy with the boy. Meanwhile, the reality star has reportedly been refusing to attend therapy sessions to get their relationship back on track.
