When Kale and Caulifla used the Potara earrings to fuse and become the mighty Kefla, she was able to turn the table in their favor and easily beat Goku even in his Super Saiyan Blue form. After the Zen-Oh’s approved the use of Potara, the Supreme Kais and gods of destruction now look for two of their best warriors who can fuse and beat the warriors from the other universes.

During the last episode of “Dragon Ball Super,” Beerus suggested that Androids 17 and 18 also undergo fusion being a perfect match as they are siblings.

Whis cautioned that fusion also means instantly losing two members when knocked off the stage. But on Episode 117, it seems that Beerus’ plan might come to fruition.

Androids to the rescue

When the titles of the next episodes of “Dragon Ball Super” were leaked, of course, fans were excited about what will happen to our favorite Saiyan, Goku. As what happened during the final seconds of Episode 115, Goku was able to tap into his Ultra Instinct form once again.

While fans already knew what would happen in the coming Episode 116 [VIDEO] of “Dragon Ball Super” entitled “The Signs of a Comeback! Ultra Instinct’s Huge Explosion!” seeing Goku beat Kefla is a sight to see. Yet the next chapter of this action-filled saga will bring a scare to Goku’s teammates.

As posted by Twitter user Ken Xyro, the synopsis of Episode 117 entitled, “Grand Love Showdown! Androids vs Universe 2” suggests that Ribrianne and members of Team Universe 2 will sneak in and attack a hapless Goku who ran out of stamina after using Ultra Instinct against Kefla. But then Androids 17 and 18 will come to the rescue.

Android fusion

“How about having No.

17 and No. 18 use them,” Whis suggested. “From now one we can call them No. 35!” Beerus could have readily agreed to give the Potara earrings to the two Androids and let them fuse if not for Whis’ caution that they could instantly lose two warriors if No. 35 is eliminated.

"Dragon Ball" fans haven’t seen the Android siblings fuse before, at least in the anime and manga versions. Video game “Dragon Ball Fusion” has already given a sneak preview of the things Android 1718 – a fusion between No. 17 and 18 – can do; however, the writers of “Dragon Ball Super” may offer a different storyline.

The power of Android 35

First off, No. 17 and 18 were designed as a team. This is why the idea of the two androids merging is likely to happen. Second, Android 1718 is said to be stronger than a Super Saiyan in “Dragon Ball Fusion.” But in “Dragon Ball Super,” Android 17 can fight squarely with Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue form (Episode 86).

Although No. 18’s power has not been fully revealed, it is said that she’s not as powerful as No.

17, though she can easily beat a Super Saiyan as well. However, both androids possess the same infinite stamina. And if they have the same fusion like Kale and Caulifla [VIDEO], Android 35’s power could reach an even greater height.

As described by Vados, the merging of the two Saiyans from Universe 6 was not a case of simple addition of powers; it was a case of a multiplier, as posted on Comic Book. This means that Kale’s Berserker Super Saiyan will be multiplied by Caulifla’s power which made them able to beat Goku in Super Saiyan Blue form.

So what if Android No. 17 and 18 is to use Shin’s Potara on Episode 117 of “Dragon Ball Super?” That would be the first, but then that would explain why Episode 118’s title suggests that another universe will disappear.
