The most recent episode of “Dragon Ball Super” featured Son Goku’s crazy fight with the super-warrior from Universe 6, Kefla. The product of Caulifla and Kale’s fusion has helped the fan-favorite Saiyan access the god-like technique once again. This enabled Goku to dodge all the attacks of his opponent and fire a massive Kamehameha at point blank. Kefla was eliminated in the Tournament of Power and the Potara Earrings that activated their fusion were broken. Interestingly, a new theory surfaced recently claiming that the fan-favorite Saiyan will have a new power in the later part of the popular anime series.

New theory

Episode 116 of “Dragon Ball Super” showcased Son Goku accessing the god-like technique popularly known today among fans as the Ultra-Instinct Omen. Initially, many thought that he would not be able to access the technique again in the Tournament of Power. However, he dismissed everyone’s expectation when he broke his limits once again. A new theory claims that should Son Goku fight Jiren the Gray again, he will not be able to defeat him with Ultra-Instinct Omen alone.

The theory believes that aside from having mastered the god-like technique, the strongest Pride Trooper is more powerful than a god of destruction and Ultra-Instinct Omen alone cannot defeat or eliminate him in the tournament.

Anime writer Wamiq Fida believes that the only way that the fan-favorite Saiyan could defeat Jiren is if he uses Kaioken with the god-like technique. He claims that if Son Goku gets healed again during the duration of the tournament, he can use the Ultra-Instinct Omen and even power it up with Kaioken to become more powerful.

Other details

This theory views the Ultra-Instinct Omen as a technique. Like all other techniques, the fan-favorite Saiyan can increase his power by using his signature Kaioken.

However, this theory raises more questions than answers. The writer fails to acknowledge that Jiren has subjected himself to deep meditation and was already able to regain his lost energy. Considering that he has already mastered the god-like technique, even if Goku doubles his power, he will never match the well-rested opponent. He has used the technique twice and as always, it drained his energy.

Should another miracle happen and he regains his energy, he is too amateur to use the technique compared to Jiren the Gray. However, at this point, it is too early to give a conclusion as the team behind the popular anime series appears to have a lot of surprises for the fans.

Let us just hope that the rematch will turn out to be as epic as the first battle that was showcased during the one-hour special of “Dragon Ball Super.”
