Boruto: Naruto Next Generation’s” filler arc is starting to get serious. After the last episode, things have continued to be difficult for the kids as a new team of baddies prepares for an all-out war. What will happen next?

The New Swordsmen of the Mist

This week’s episode finally debut’s the new Swordsmen of the Mist. As the start of the episode, the new villains take their respective swords with the help of Kagura. Besides Shizuma, the other new members of the Swordsmen didn't really look villainous compared to “Naruto’s” baddies and failed to look as threatening as they should be.

After taking their chosen swords, the group wrote their names on the wall revealing their names identities; Kagura Karatachi, Kyoho Fuefuki, Buntan Kurosuki, Hebiichigo, Ichirota Oniyusu, Hassaku Onimichi, and Shizuma Hoshigaki. Seeing their names in red didn’t make the Mizukage very happy; instead, he vowed to kill them if they pose a significant threat.

Boruto and Sarada rushed to meet the Mizukage. The boy from Konoha quickly explains that Kagura is not at fault and was just being exploited by the villains. The Mizukage explains that at the moment, he has no choice but to execute them, causing Sarada to express her beliefs that killing them is not the answer. After that, Boruto quickly comes up with an idea to treat their encounter as a kids fight so that everybody won’t have to suffer very much. The previous Mizukage didn’t agree at first; however, Boruto’s very own “My father will hear about this” moment gave them no choice but to say yes.

After making up their excuses to leave for the night, Sarada and Boruto go out to fight the Swordsmen, as they do Shikadai and Inojin senses that they’re up to something and follows them. Meanwhile, Mitsuki meets Suigetsu in a dark alley, reminding him not to make any move and assist Boruto and Sarada.

The next episode of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” will feature Sarada Uchiha’s first major fight alone. Based on the after episode preview of Episode 30; Sarada will be facing Buntan and her sword Kiba in an unknown location. Buntan seems to be very fascinated with her Sharingan which she’ll be using in a full-scale battle for the first time. The next episode will be very exciting for her fans as we will finally see just how fast and strong Sarada has become since “Naruto Gaiden” arc.
