“Supergirl” is set to show a few changes when the series returns for Season 3. Aside from the “Midvale” episode that will bring viewers back to the past of Alex and Kara Danvers, the third season is set to show more of their adventure as a duo.
According to Screen Rant, Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) will be promoted to a leadership role in DEO. On the other hand, Calista Flockhart is set to reprise her role as Cat Grant. She will be back as the White House’s press secretary. At the end of the day, the series spotlight will remain on Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).
Their relationship has become the pillar of the show and featuring more of the sisterhood will certainly bring delight to the viewers.
Arrowverse crossover with the Danvers
Screen Rant reported that Alex and Kara would also play a huge part in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover. Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg explained that the Danvers sisters would be at the center of this four-hour event. As for Season 3, Kreisberg shared that the work they have been doing centers on cultivating the show from Season 1.
They aim to make it “Danvers sisters-centric.” With this, he added that the upcoming crossover would not be any different. Things will play the same in the crossover episode this year as themes from four shows play a big part to display the story as one.
Of course, this will require the fans of all these The CW shows to tune in. Pathos and character developments are to be expected too in this highly anticipated team up.
Kara and Alex team-up
In last year’s crossover, Supergirl only had a brief involvement with the episode. Her flagship series cannot properly integrate with the crossover since it was not long enough when they transferred in The CW network.
Kara Danvers manages to enjoy the action as well. However, not all of Supergirl’s supporting characters joined the episode.
At the moment, it’s certain that not only her but also Alex will be all-in for the crossover episode. Moreover, my previous report revealed that Izabela Vidovic would be cast as young Kara. The role was previously played by Malina Weissman, who gained a lead role in “A Series of Unfortunate Events.” She will likely reprise her titular role in the said series as it was renewed for Season 2.
Furthermore, Vidovic will reportedly have plenty of things to show the viewers. She will be featured in the episode “Midvale” as young Kara Danvers. There are no updates yet if we will be seeing her in multiple episodes of “Supergirl” Season 3.
