Many fans have wondered about this a lot. Some argued that the finale of this series was the martial arts tournament that we saw at the end of “Dragon Ball Z.” This turned out to be true since Toyotaro (artist of the “Dragon Ball Super” manga) confirmed as much in an interview a while back. He said that they were trying to carry the story in a way that it would end just like it did in “Dragon Ball Z”; in other words, the martial arts tournament.

Some information so far

In the series, the characters that we saw at the end of Z have already been born: Bra, Pan and the reincarnation of the evil Majin Buu (Uub).

However, for the moment, these characters are still babies, which suggests that we have a few years to go before we can see a confrontation between Goku and Uub in the tournament, which would mean the end of the series “Dragon Ball Super.” But this creates a big question in terms of the inclusion of the gods of destruction, the angels, the high priest and the Zeno Sama [VIDEO], characters that hadn’t been thought of yet back then.

What will happen with the gods, angels and other characters?

There is a strong theory within the fan community that maintains that, at the end of the series, Goku and all the other warriors from Universe 7 will have all their memories of the different battles and situations they had to go through with the gods and angels erased. This would explain the absence of Beerus and Whis in the tournament at the end of Z. In a way, this theory seems to be coherent, because it’s possible that the high priest would decide that this was best for everyone. After all, they had reached a moment in which his participation wasn’t necessary, and for this reason, he would decide that they should live their lives as if the encounter between Goku and Beerus, the God of Destruction, had never happened.

Another point of view

On the other hand, Toriyama could do the same ending as in Z, but this time including all these new characters.

This would lead to the aforementioned tournament just the same, but knowing the existence of these characters, and both Goku and the others would end up living peacefully on Earth.

There are many battles left before this series ends, having now exceeded 100 episodes. It seems like we will have “Dragon Ball Super” for a few more years.

For now, that’s all the information we have about this series.
