While the Internet is abuzz with Taylor Swift's newly released "Look What You Made Me Do," another pop artist is currently on tour to promote her own record. Lady Gaga, the six-time Grammy Award winning artist, is currently busy with her "Joanne World Tour" to promote her latest record. While the 31-year old has her hands full with her music, she makes sure to have time for those who matter to her.
In fact, Us Weekly recently reported that Gaga is still in touch with her former fiance, actor Taylor Kinney. Kinney first met Gaga when he was cast in her 2011 music video for "You and I." The pair began dating and became engaged in February 2015.
However, the engagement was called off in July 2016. But that doesn't mean there's any bad blood between the two. In fact, the pair is still constantly communicating despite Gaga's new relationship with her agent, Christian Carino.
Ex-lovers are 'still very close'
A source recently told Us Weekly that Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are "still very close," but remain only friends. In fact, the pair reportedly "talk or text every single day" and make it a point to see each other when Gaga's travels take her to wherever Kinney is also at. The source did say, however, that "nothing romantic is happening between them." The pair remains supportive of each other's careers, and the 35-year old actor was even spotted at Gaga's August 25 performance in Chicago.
Back in October of last year, Gaga was quoted telling Howard Stern’s SiriusXM that both herself and Kinney were "focused on different things," which was why they had to call off the engagement and end the relationship.
Gaga focuses on musical career
It seems that the 31-year old singer and songwriter is focused on her musical career, especially now that the "Joanne World Tour" is underway.
This September, the tour will take Lady Gaga to Canada, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. In October, she's heading to Belgium, the Netherlands, France, England, Denmark, and Sweden. In November, she'll head back to the U.S. and will conclude the tour in Inglewood in December. Her hectic schedule isn't preventing the prolific artist from creating new music, however.
She told Entertainment Weekly, "I’ve started writing. I have a lot of ideas and a lot of things I want to create...I need some time to create."
Lady Gaga's next stop is Boston, where she's playing two nights at the Fenway Park on September 1 and 2.
