"Dancing with the Stars" Season 25 pro dancers were announced on "Good Morning America" on Thursday, August 24. Mark Ballas was the only one in the studio. He is returning to the ABC's dance competition show after being absent for two seasons. Maks Chmerkovskiy and Alan Bersten were interviewed via satellite. The Celebrities will be announced on "GMA" on September 6 ahead of the September 18 premiere date.

Female pro dancers returning

Lindsay Arnold has been on America's biggest dance floor for six seasons. The 23-year-old dancer started in Season 16.

She has never won, but she did end up in second place last season with partner David Ross. Sharna Burgess, 32, started in Season 16 and has been on the show for nine seasons. She has never won but came in second place in Season 23 with James Hinchcliffe.

Witney Carson, 23, joined the reality show in Season 18 and has been there for seven seasons. She and Alfonso Ribeiro became champions in Season 19. Newlywed Peta Murgatroyd, 31, started in 2011 and danced for ten seasons. She won Season 14 with Donald Driver and Season 22 with deaf model Nyle DiMarco. She and Maksim Chmerkovskiy got married on July 8.

Emma Slater, 28, joined "DWTS" in March 2012 for Season 14. First, she was a troupe dancer.

By Season 17, she had advanced and became a pro dancer. She and partner Rashad Jennings took home the Mirrorball trophy last season. Emma's fiancé, Sasha Farber, is not on the schedule to return and his fans are disappointed.

There are only six females and seven males listed so far. That means another female is going to be added later.

Fans believe it might be pro dancer Cheryl Burke.

Male pro dancers returning

Mark Ballas, 31, is returning after being out for two seasons. He started on the show in 2007 and had danced for 18 seasons. He won with Kristi Yamaguchi in Season 6 and with Shawn Johnson in Season 8. During his two-season absence, he performed on Broadway in "Jersey Boys." He also got married and worked on his music.

Alan Bersten, 23, has been promoted from a troupe dancer to a full-time pro. The producers saw what he could do during the time he partnered with Heather Morris when Maksim Chmerkovskiy was out last season with an injured calf. Artem Chigvintsev, 35, has danced on the show for five seasons. He joined for Season 19, and he has never made it higher than sixth place.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 37, has been on the reality show for 16 seasons. He started in Season 2, but he took Seasons 16 and 17 off. He can back in Season 18 and won with Meryl Davis. Then he retired again from Seasons 19-22. He returned for Seasons 23 and 24. Now he is coming back for Season 25 as a married man. Valentin Chmerkovskiy, 31, is Maks' younger brother who has been dancing on the show for 12 seasons.

He won Season 23 with Laurie Hernandez and was the third runner up with Normani Kordei last season.

Keo Motsepe has been on "DWTS" for five seasons. The 27-year-old South African dancer has never won. In fact, he has never made it very far. Since he came on board in Season 19, he seems always to get older celebrities for partners. Gleb Savchenko, 33, has been on the ABC show for only three seasons, and he has never won.
