Avid fans of the upcoming “Teen Wolf” Season 6 are undeniably excited to see the return of Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) and Stiles (Dylan O’Brien). They were fan-favorite characters since the first season, and it is a relief they managed to return despite reports about having other priorities.
However, BuzzFeed revealed there is one person viewers have to thank for. He reportedly has a contribution in Hoechlin and O’Brien’s return. The outlet recently had an interview at the recent comic-con with Colton Haynes, who is one of the recurring characters.
He revealed how their awesome reunion has come to fruition.
It is not ‘Teen Wolf’ without Jackson, Derek, and Stiles
The 29-year-old actor shared the story behind their Season 6 comeback. According to Haynes, he experienced a crazy ride since the beginning of the show. Everything was fun, and the original cast members were his best friends for a long time.
Unfortunately, the time came when they had to leave one by one. Now, Jeff Davis asked Colton Haynes to return, and he declined at first due to some other contract he is in. On a brighter note, he encouraged Jeff Davis to make way for “Sterek” as he convinces the two actors to return. That is because only then he will decide to come back.
Meanwhile, Haynes expressed how he obviously wanted the original family to have a reunion.
Here is what he unveiled: “So, then I sent them a sad, ridiculous and a really sad text that was like, 'We are all a family, and you cannot let the show go on without us.'"
In result, he described Hoechlin as a grumpy cat who immediately called his agent. Haynes and Hoechlin have the same handler. As what viewers saw in the trailer, the former “Arrow” star definitely succeeded in convincing his co-actors in “Teen Wolf.”
Who is Jackson in Season 6?
Viewers first met the role of Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore in Season 1.
Whittemore, who is an ordinary Lacrosse Captain, experienced lots of supernatural things in his life. This led him to be a full grown wolf from an average high school student of Beacon Hills.
He was in a long term relationship with his then-girlfriend Lydia Martin (Holland Roden). Therefore, viewers will see how things play out as Stydia (Stiles and Lydia) is presently having a blooming relationship.
The last we saw Jackson is when he decided to go to London.
Haynes revealed that Jackson did many things while away, trying to restore his well being. Aside from reuniting with the gang, the sole reason why Jackson returned is to help his friends in the upcoming fight of “Teen Wolf” Season 6.
