Megyn Kelly hasn't been working for NBC very long, but things aren't going according to plan. The former Fox News journalist was hired to be more competitive with CBS and ABC. She was given her own Sunday news magazine program called "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly" to rival CBS' "60 Minutes." Her first epic interview was with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which only made her look like an amateur. She also took a lot of heat for the form-fitting cocktail dress she wore (which was for a party the night before the actual interview).

The ratings have dipped ever since.

It didn't get any better when Megyn interviewed conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones. He believes the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a complete hoax. Parents of the 20 children killed in the massacre were outraged and demanded that the star anchor not host the Sandy Hook gala.

Fox colleagues ignore Kelly's calls

An NBC source tells Life & Style magazine that Megyn Kelly is panicking because she's afraid she made the wrong decision by leaving Fox. The ratings at NBC are nosediving and Megyn doesn't feel like she's a good fit at the studio. The source claims that Megyn "has been reaching out to former Fox News colleagues, including Sean Hannity, but Sean hasn't returned her calls."

It's only fair to add that none of this has been confirmed.

Megyn just began her gig with NBC and anyone in the business knows sometimes it takes a while to build an audience. Of course, paying Megyn Kelly a huge salary somewhere in the neighborhood of $15 million a year may indicate that the network isn't willing to wait around for viewers. Megyn is famous and her star shone brighter in her feud with President Donald Trump when he was campaigning.

Things have moved on since then and it's conceivable that Kelly might not be quite as popular as she was.

Megyn clashing with NBC colleagues

The source explains that Megyn does have a steady job with the "Today Show," but she's supposedly clashing with a few of the other morning news hosts and isn't getting along with other colleagues at NBC.

There's a deep-seated resentment that she's being treated like a privileged star. The insider says "no one is happy" about Kelly getting the red carpet treatment at NBC. It's anticipated that the drama will go on because executives have handed Megyn "the keys to the kingdom."

Do you believe that Megyn Kelly is desperate to return to Fox News, or is this just another rumor started by the tabloids?
