The Walking Deadseason 7 has understandably given fans some mixed emotions. They’re glad that the long wait is finally over, but devastated at the same time to finally know who the victims of Negan’s wrath were. Despite the record-breaking rating of the “TWD” season 7 episode 1, one of the cast recently revealed that the best is still yet to come.

Ross Marquand, who portrays Aaron on “The Walking Dead,” hinted that season 8 is the best season yet in the post-apocalyptic horror television series, despite the shock factor of season 7. In a new interview, Comic Book com reported that the 35-year-old actor revealed that the new installment will certainly outdo “TWD” season 7.

“I think, I mean, for as cool as the Tiger is, we all love Shiva, but I think what we've got to show here in season 8 is going to trump everything that we've ever done on the show by far,” Ross Marquand confidently said.

'TWD' star shares season 8 is more 'well-crafted'

“The Walking Dead” season 7 left fans broken-hearted as two of the beloved characters were brutally killed by the show’s heartless villain, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Both Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) lost their lives during Negan’s dangerous game of “eenie meenie miney mo” where he smashed their heads with his barbed-wire baseball bat named 'Lucille.'

The shocking scene clearly made the episode the most-watched in recent television history.

However, Ross Marquand assured the show's fans that “The Walking Dead” season 8 will be a lot better.

"Every episode I read I'm just blown away by what we're getting on the page," the “TWD” actor shared. Ross Marquand then noted that there is a lot of expectation from the new installment as the current one is well-hyped even before its premiere.

Despite the unfortunate event in the first episode, fans still continue to support the popular series.

Will there be more heartbreaks in 'TWD' season 8?

Despite the loss of two major characters, “The Walking Dead” still has a lot of people left to make the next installment intriguing and exciting. Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Chandler Riggs (Carl Grimes) Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), and Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene) are just a few of the characters who were lucky enough to survive the Walkers and Negan and the saviors. These main characters are expected to still be part of "TWD" season 8 and some of them are expected to face their deaths too, in the next installment.
