There's quite a lot to look forward to when "Riverdale" Season 2 returns this October, as viewers will finally get to see the resolution to Fred Andrew's shooting. But more than that cliffhanger, there are a lot of other questions that remain. For one, Jughead is now part of the Southside Serpents, which can drive a wedge between him and Betty and the rest of the squad.

Series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa recently hinted at more secrets to be unveiled come the sophomore season, one of them being the identity of Betty's long-lost brother. Back in season 1, it was unveiled that Alice Cooper gave away her first born, a son whose father is yet to be identified.

Some fans have come to conclude that Alice's long-lost son is in fact born out of a relationship with FP Jones, making her son Jughead and Jellybean's half sibling. Here's how the theory came to be.

FP Jones and Alice Cooper may have had a child together

Back in May, Glamour spoke with series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who admitted that viewers will definitely "meet" Betty's long-lost brother when "Riverdale" Season 2 arrives. He didn't delve into details, but fans have a theory that it's definitely Joaquin of the Southside Serpents. For one, Joaquin seems to be older than the rest of Betty and the gang, as he's never really seen in school. He also seems to share physical attributes of both Alice Cooper (his blue eyes) and FP Jones (his dark hair), which makes him a true candidate for Betty's long-lost brother.

Rob Raco, who plays Joaquin in the series, is also in on the theory, as he took to Twitter in April to tweet, "J: I'm actually your son too. FP: ..."

Season 2 episode titles hint at darker tone

When the first season of "Riverdale" concluded, both the cast and the people behind the production were quick to admit that the following season will take an even darker tone from the premiere.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was one of the first to admit that they do listen to viewer feedback and found that it was one of the things they truly enjoyed about his adaptation of the comic book series. According to Screenrant, Aguirre-Sacasa recently took to Twitter to share the titles of the upcoming episodes of "Riverdale" season 2, with the premiere called "A Kiss Before Dying," followed be "Nighthawks."

The third episode will be titled "The Watcher in the Woods," while the fourth is "The Town that Dreaded Sundown." With the recent violent events in Riverdale, it's no surprise that the people of the town would dread the darkness, both literally and figuratively. "Riverdale" season 2 will premiere on Wednesday, October 11 on The CW.
