DeMario Jackson says it was Corinne Olympios who initiated their controversial “Bachelor in Paradise” hookup that caused production of the ABC reality show to be temporarily shut down in Mexico, but he still doesn’t feel the former “Bachelor” contestant deserves the bad rap she has been getting. In an interview with E! News, Jackson said it’s not cool that he has been labeled a “rapist” and Corinne has been called a “whore” and “slut” after what he says was a consensual romp in the pool.
DeMario is not happy with the way fans are treating Corinne
DeMario explained that in addition to their high-profile hookup that stopped “Paradise” in its tracks, Corinne has been slut-shamed due to her behavior on Nick Viall’s season of “The Bachelor.” Olympios took her bathing suit top off during a group date on Viall’s season of the ABC franchise and encouraged the leading man to touch her breasts as the cameras rolled. Now, Jackson says the human race as a whole has failed as far as reaction to Corinne’s place in the "BIP" scandal and in Bachelor Nation in general.
In the same interview with E!, Jackson called out Olympios as “the aggressor” ahead of their X-rated interaction, saying she wrapped her legs around him ahead of a naked romp in the pool.
The recently fired executive recruiter said he doesn’t think any man would have turned down the advances of such a beautiful woman, whom he alleges put her “lady parts” in his face.
DeMario revealed that the morning after the incident, Corinne was cordial to him and even gave him a hug. It wasn’t until later that producers got involved and shut down the show while Warner Bros.
launched an investigation into what happened.
Now, DeMario Jackson is coming to Corinne’s defense, despite the fact that her own attorney, Marty Singer, is doing a separate investigation on the incident. Corinne has called herself a "victim” in the scandal, although it is unclear why.
No hard feelings
According to TMZ, DeMario Jackson still has no hard feelings towards Corinne Olympios and has even said he would like to talk to her privately to clear the air about what went down in Mexico.
A source for Jackson told the celebrity gossip site that the reality star was "blindsided and confused" when he heard Corinne claimed to be a victim in the encounter, and while he wants to talk to her to hash things out, Jackson reportedly has no plans to reach out to Corinne and is instead waiting for her to contact him.
