"Bachelor in Paradise" season 4 will have to adhere to rule changes following a Sex Scandal that forced a shutdown of production. The contestants on the show will reportedly be required to get approval for engaging in sex, among other rules.

Sources told TMZ that there will be a 2-drink maximum per hour among the contestants who will also be regularly swept for illegal drugs.

The bachelors and bachelorettes will also have to seek permission from producers if they want to engage in sexual activities at the production site of the reality TV dating show in Mexico.

Preventing a sex scandal

The move is to prevent any incident similar to what allegedly happened between Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson at the beginning of the season’s filming. The two were getting quite intimate when sexual misconduct allegedly took place on “Bachelor in Paradise” season 4.

Corinne Olympios was supposedly too intoxicated to remember what happened when she engaged in sex with DeMario Jackson, hence there was no consent.

Warner Bros., however, conducted an investigation into the incident and found no conclusive evidence for the misconduct, as stated in a press release.

Rapist, slut-shaming

Following the investigation, “Bachelor in Paradise” season 4 is back in production in time for its summer airing on ABC. Originally set for an Aug. 8 premiere, the show will be pushed back to a late summer start, as per Variety.

Upon their return, the contestants underwent a two-hour briefing with the lawyers and producers to go over the new rules. Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson were also asked back to “Bachelor in Paradise” but the contestants said no more.

They have, however, been granting separate interviews to clarify what really happened.

DeMario Jackson revealed in an interview with E! News that the producers misled him when they filed a misconduct report. They told him he would be cut from the show but did not explain why. He later found out about the sexual misconduct allegations and has been tagged by the public as a rapist.

Corinne Olympios’ lawyers, on the other hand, will pursue their own investigation after Warner Bros. cleared the incident. “Our own investigation will continue based on multiple new witnesses coming forward revealing what they saw and heard." No charges, however, have been officially filed in court for now.

The contestant also isn't absolved from public ridicule. Many chided her for her behavior on the reality TV dating show. DeMario Jackson defende Corinne in the E! News, suggesting that she did not deserve to be slut-shamed.
